2. General information on data processing
I process personal data only to the extent necessary for providing this website and my services. Processing takes place exclusively on the basis of a statutory permission (GDPR) or your consent.
The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent), Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (contract performance or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests, in particular the operation and security of this website).
3. Hosting and provision of the website
This website is hosted by:
IONOS SEElgendorfer Straße 57
56410 Montabaur, Germany
A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS. More information on IONOS data protection: ionos.com/terms-gtc/terms-privacy.
When the pages are accessed, technically necessary data is automatically transmitted and stored in so-called server log files. This includes:
- IP address of the requesting device (shortened or anonymised where possible)
- date and time of access
- accessed URL and HTTP status code
- amount of data transferred
- browser, operating system and referrer used
The processing of this data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the technical provision, security and stability of the website. Log files are deleted after a short time unless security incidents require longer storage.
4. Contact
If you contact me by email, phone or other means, your information (e.g. name, email address, message) is processed for the purpose of answering your enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in answering).
This data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose. Statutory retention obligations (in particular commercial and tax law) remain unaffected.
5. Booking calls via Calendly
For scheduling initial calls I use the service Calendly, operated by Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA. When you click a Calendly link or use a booking widget, personal data (e.g. name, email address, chosen time slot, optional notes) is transmitted to Calendly and processed there.
Calendly partly processes data in the USA. The EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework apply as the legal basis for third-country transfer. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (initiation and performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent by active use).
For more information, see Calendly’s privacy policy: https://calendly.com/pages/privacy.
6. Fonts (locally hosted)
This website uses the fonts Inter and Playfair Display. Both are served locally from this website’s server. No connection to Google Fonts or other external font services is established. No personal data is transmitted to third parties in this context.
7. Cookies
This website does not set tracking or marketing cookies. Technically necessary cookies may occasionally be used by embedded third-party providers (e.g. Calendly) if you actively use their functions.
8. External links and social media
The website contains links to external platforms, in particular LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). When you click such links, you leave this website. I have no influence on the data processing of the linked providers. The respective privacy policies of the external providers apply.
9. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar starting with „https://“ and a padlock symbol being displayed.

- Right to withdraw consent once given (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details listed in the imprint is sufficient.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR. The competent authority is in particular the one of your habitual residence, your workplace or the location of the alleged violation.
